In the late 1700s, the Prince of Wales fell in love with a Catholic commoner, Maria Fitzherbert. British law forbid their marriage, but they wed in secret, commemorating their love by exchanging miniature portraits of each other’s eyes that were set into jewelry. We continue the tradition with Russell Jones’ custom hand painted miniature portraits, made to fit inside our rock crystal cabochon lockets.
$500 for one sided painting, left plain or with 24k gold leaf on reverse
